Peppermint Martini

October 23rd, 2008 by Devon

Star Lite; Star Brite. This martini’s all-right.

There are very few alcoholic drinks that actually make your stomach feel better than it did before, but this one pretty much calms the tummy down. This isn’t really the kind of thing you can do several rounds of - that is, unless you REALLY like peppermint - but it’s a cute, tasty drink that is perfect for the person who likes to try something different every now and then. Enjoy.

Peppermint Martini - Recipe:

  • 2.5 oz pepper vodka
  • 1.5 oz white creme de menthe
  • 2 or 3 drops red food coloring
  • sprig of mint (garnish)

Pour the vodka and creme de menthe into your shaker or mixing glass filled with ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled cocktail/martini glass. Add a couple of drops of red food coloring to the top, and stir slightly, to make swirls (like a Starlite peppermint candy.) Garnish with a sprig of mint (optional) and serve.
